Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian-German film and television actress most well-known for her roles in films such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. Alexandra was the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of 16, she had already secured a number of TV roles including the lead role in Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. This film received nominations for an Oscar and won critical and commercial great success. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Over the years Alexandra was involved in numerous important international and national productions. One of these is the British biographical movie Control, the Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and French historical mini-series Napoleon. Other roles she has held include being an official jury member for two festivals: and the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
